Hola! me llamo Karen, Hi! my name is Karen and I am the Founder and executive Director of KC Spanish.

Born in Guanajuato and raised in Zacatecas, Mexico, I hold both cities close to my heart. As a wife, mother of three wonderful children, educator, and business owner, my passion for early childhood education has shaped my journey. From a young age, I loved playing teacher with my dolls, which inspired me to pursue a bachelor's degree in educational intervention in early childhood education.

While working in the United States, I had the joy of being a nanny, where I introduced wonderful children to Spanish in playful and engaging ways. This experience sparked my passion for teaching Spanish to young learners. Later, as a preschool teacher, I developed the idea of offering Spanish as a second language specifically designed for preschoolers. During this time, I began creating my own curriculum and lesson plans tailored to young children’s needs and interests.

In 2017, it finally happened, KC Spanish started being in operation expanding its services to preschools, kindergartens, elementary schools, adults, and private lessons. Over the years, I've had the privilege to teach an incredible range of students, from toddlers as young as two years old to adult learners. Today, KC Spanish mainly focuses on teaching Spanish to kids, sharing not only the language but also the rich culture behind it, combining fun and effective methods to inspire a love of language in the youngest learners.

look forward to helping your kids learn and enjoy every moment of their Spanish learning journey!

What parents say...

My son loves Spanish. He comes home and signs in Spanish and he's even counting in Spanish now!
